Is your child studying Animal Farm at school this year?
Join experienced tutor Amanda for a warm, supportive Term 3 study series designed to help students build confidence, deepen their understanding of the novel, and strengthen their analytical writing skills. Sessions are offered at $71.50 per class (incl. GST).
Amanda has worked successfully with many students studying Animal Farm and is passionate about helping young people feel capable, prepared, and engaged with the text. In a small group setting, students will be guided carefully through Orwell’s powerful allegorical novel and its connections to the key figures and events of the Russian Revolution.
Along the way, students will explore important vocabulary, literary devices, and themes through explicit teaching and guided discussion. Amanda’s approach also includes structured support for sentence construction, paragraph planning, and analytical writing, helping students develop clear and cohesive responses with confidence.
Students who have studied Animal Farm with Amanda have achieved strong results in their English studies, while also improving their broader spelling, writing, and analytical skills.
These sessions are ideal for students who would benefit from thoughtful guidance, explicit instruction, and a supportive environment in which to ask questions, practise skills, and grow in confidence.
How it works
Each week at 4pm (Melbourne time) on a Tuesday, Amanda will deliver a lesson via Zoom for one hour.
It will also be recorded so that if your child can’t make it, they can watch the recording. All recordings will be destroyed once every student has had a chance to catch up.
It will be a small group of high school students.
No qualification is necessary, just have a copy of the book and a notebook and pen/pencil. We will send over some printable frameworks to use during the lessons.
In ten weeks, watch your child’s skills and confidence grow under the warm, expert guidance of this brilliant tutor.
Before we start
Once you enrol in the study session, we will email you a brief intake form where you can let us know a little about your child. We will make sure that everyone is welcomed and included.
