Hi Lyn,
Once again thank you for the opportunity to do this course. I am very excited and look forward to spending the holidays learning.
Interesting facts
1: I love reading biographies and Foster care stories.
2: I am hearing impaired and I am awaiting hearing aids. This has impacted on my PD in the past but hopefully it will not be an issue now.
Hi Debbie,
So nice to see you here.
I too am hearing impaired and just got my first set of hearing aids in December! It’s made such a difference already!
Best of luck!
Hi Lyn,
I have my aids and they’re working brilliantly. I have completed the course today and went to print my certificate but unfortunately the certificate has my email name not my professional/personal name. I am technologically challenged and cannot edit it. I am wondering if possible could you edit it to have my proper name on it for my CV etc. My name is Deborah Peters. If it can’t be done on this platform can you edit and please send to my email [email protected]
Thanks in advance.
Hello Lyn,
The new platform looks great. I have started this course already, however it is telling me 0% completed, so I will be able to tune in to your sessions again – I love listening to you present, it all makes sense when I hear you explain literacy and linguistics.
Thank you.
Sally
Hi Sally,
Yes unfortunately course progress is not transferable. In the email that went out to all participants on the old platform, we stated, please screenshot your progress so you can mark it off manually in the new platform. However, if that email went into junk, as I’m suspecting it did with you, there is no way of doing this. Apologies, Sally.
Hi Lyn,
My name is Jo and I am very excited to be taking this course. A couple of my colleagues are going to be joining you at the face to face course on The Gold Coast but I have chosen to do the online module.
I look forward to learning lots 😉
Very exciting to have you here, Jo, and looking forward to interacting with you as you go through the course. Will be delighted to meet your two colleagues as well!
Hi Lyn,
So interested in doing this course to help my students, I have read you two of your books and have taken so much from them into my classroom so hoping I can do the same with this.
Hi Lyn,
Starting the course today. I am teacher trained but currently working in research. I have 3 children with dysgraphia – their speech pathologist recommended this course to me. I am looking forward to it.
Hi Lyn,
My name is Isabelle. I’m a primary school teacher trying my very best to delivery quality, evidence based literacy instruction in the classroom. I have read all your books and have implemented as much as I can. The improvement in the students’ skills and engagement has been wonderful. I’m looking forward to deepening my understanding of writing, so I can continue to improve my practice.

Hi, I’m Sarah and I’m a special education teacher working in western Sydney. I just finished the Language for Life course and I liked it so much that I signed up for another one! I’m hoping this course will help be refine my writing program. I teach a support class for students in Years 7-10 with mild intellectual disabilities so I need to create a sort of Tier 1 / intervention hybrid to help them catch up and reach their potential.
Hi Lyn,
I am looking forward to the course and hoping to get some practical strategies that can be implemented as a whole school level in infants and primary.
Hi Lyn,
I am just about to begin Writing for Life – its school holidays here in WA, so I am relaxed, with some well needed time on my hands. Looking forward to this very much.
Hello Lyn, I am a teacher in Alberta, Canada who works in the public school system supporting teachers with literacy learning. thanks for creating this opportunity to learn from you. Looking forward to the course.

Hi Debbie,
That’s been fixed now. Would you mind going to the certificate again and seeing if it’s working for you?
Kind regards,
Lyn
Sorry for the delay, yes all fixed. Thank you
