To double or not to double?
The philosophy of doubling. A common myth is that double letters are just thrown into words to make people unhappy. This presentation shows clearly that without double letters, spelling would descend into unintelligible anarchy. By way of a few simple tables, all the supposed complexity is boiled down to a set of accessible, logical rules.
